Gordon Sommerville
Gordon Sommerville joined the Firm in 1975 and became a partner in 1977. He opened the Hamilton office in 1989, and worked from there until becoming Senior Partner in 2000. The Firm moved to the new premises in Wishaw in March 2001 and now he divides his time between the three offices, dealing mainly with Commercial, Corporate and Executry matters, and relaxes on the golf course when time permits.He was founder chairman and also current chairman of the Lanarkshire Business Group and is a director of the charity 'Enable Trustee Service Ltd'. |

Robert Allan
Robert joined the firm in 1981 from Strathclyde University where he gained his Law Degree and Diploma in Legal Practice, qualified in 1983 and became a partner in 2000. Robert works in Hamilton Office leading the Property Law Team, dealing with both domestic and commercial Conveyancing. Away from the office, Robert is kept busy with his growing family and is active in the Church of Scotland where he is a Lay Preacher. |

Hugh J Gilchrist
Hugh joined the firm as full-time consultant on 1st October 2007 upon the amalgamation of Hugh J Gilchrist & Co with Pomphreys. Hugh has practised in Wishaw over 25 years, his main area of knowledge being domestic conveyancing and executries. His interests, away from work, are football and golf. He has been an elder in Cambusnethan Old Parish Church for many years. |

Iain Wilson
Iain graduated from Glasgow University in 1993, LL.B. Honours, and worked for some time in Ayrshire before joining Pomphreys in June 1997. He became a partner in March 2004 and deals with all types of court work and is particularly experienced in matrimonial and reparation matters. In his leisure time he enjoys tennis and mountaineering. |

Laraine Shields
After graduating from Glasgow University Laraine worked in Glasgow for a number of years before joining Pomphreys in July 2001. Laraine, now an Associate of the firm is permanently based in our Wishaw office where she specialises in all types of Residential and Commercial conveyancing and has a special interest in Social Housing Law. Away from the office her interests are in painting and photography when she is not kept busy with her family. |

Alison L McIntyre
Alison joined the firm in 2004 as Property Manager to promote our GSPC Estate Agency, which she has developed very successfully. She previously worked for 10 years in branch banking in Lanarkshire, before taking a career break for her children. Outside office hours she is kept busy and active with family life and is a keen football fan. |

Senga Allan
Senga Allan has worked in the legal profession since 1984. She qualified as a member of S.O.L.A.S. in 1988 and also has Paralegal Certificates in Conveyancing and Civil Court Work. She came to Pomphreys as Cashier in 1995 and has been Practice Manager since 1999. During leisure time, she enjoys travel and swimming. |
